In a statement on Thursday, the Assembly of Expert underlined efforts to keep alive the cause of Palestine and to hold International Quds Day rallies more magnificently this year given the Israeli atrocities against Palestinian women, children and other civilians in the Gaza Strip.

It stressed that the victory of the oppressed people of Palestine and liberation of the holy city of al-Quds require the continuation of resistance and steadfastness against the Israeli regime’s oppression and injustice.

The statement also called on certain Muslim countries’ governments to stop supporting the Zionist regime and begin all-out support for the people of Palestine.

The International Quds Day is a legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, who designated the day in solidarity with Palestinians.
